Boys High

Poucas equipas na história de St.Bede's conseguiram fazer o que a equipa de 2011 está a fazer. Terminámos a fase de grupos, sem uma única derrota ou empate, sendo que só falhámos num ponto de bónus ofensivo, que aconteceu no fim de semana passado.

Fomos jogar fora contra contra um "eterno rival" da nossa escola, Chistchurch Boy's High School.15-7 foi o resultado final, com um ensaio do outro "import" da equipa, Yoshi e outro do capitão.

Sendo assim, terminámos a fase de grupos em primeiro lugar, com uma meia-final a disputar dia 6 de agosto, em casa, contra St.Andrews College. A outra meia-final será entre Nelson e CBHS, ainda por saber onde.

Mas até lá, uma semana de descanso, depois voltamos ao trabalho.

    The top tier of the Press Cup competition ends on Thursday 14 July with the match between Christchurch BHS and Nelson College, which will determine the second and third position teams, but results of games played yesterday see the unbeaten St. Bede's College 1st XV finish in the number one position in the top tier by winning 15-7 over Christchurch BHS at Straven Road, and St. Andrew's College finishing fourth by beating Roncalli College 45-17. Other games in this group saw St. Thomas's beat Christ College 22-19 and Nelson College beat Timaru BHS 28-18. In the second tier, Ashburton College beat Nayland College 33-10, Shirley BHS claimed a victory over Waimea College 14-13 in Nelson, Marlborough College beat Burnside 39-5, with the last game of the round, between Rangiora HS and country rivals Lincoln HS to be played on Wednesday 13 July.
